Observation Archive Series #5
How Did AI Understand My Records?
How did one person's observation archive become AI-readable?
When I began documenting my observations twelve years ago,
I was not thinking about artificial intelligence.
I simply wanted to preserve what I observed and understand how changes unfolded over time.
As the archive grew,
I realized that no person could easily comprehend thousands of photographs and years of notes all at once.
That led me to ask a simple question:
Could AI understand these records?
The answer was not straightforward.
Although the archive was extensive,
it was not yet structured in a way that AI could interpret.
Chronology had to be preserved.
Continuity had to be maintained.
The boundary between observation and interpretation had to remain clear.
So I reorganized the archive.
Photographs were connected in chronological order.
Metadata was added.
Continuity became part of the data structure itself.
Gradually,
a personal observation archive evolved into an AI-readable longitudinal data infrastructure.
What AI recognized was not a disease.
It recognized the structure of observations preserved across time.
